IslamicFinance School of Entrepreneurship

The official launch took place on 16 July 2010. The programme offered by The IslamicFinance School of Entrepreneurship consists of five three-day modules which are run from Friday to Sunday at the FNB Management Training Centre in Sandown, Johannesburg. The modules, which are facilitated by lecturers from Wits University, combine academic and practical sessions. Each module includes key note addresses by industry specialists and interaction with business leaders. The modules are:

  • Thinking Strategically
  • Human Resource Management
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship
  • Marketing Management
  • Financial Management

Each module includes formal lectures and practical projects relevant to the delegate's business sector. Assignments are presented to an esteemed panel of business experts who provide valuable feedback and guidance which can be incorporated into each business to give it a competitive advantage in its operating sector.

The programme has been designed for delegates who have acquired strong business acumen but have not had the opportunity of formal academic training.

Ebi Patel, CEO of IslamicFinance said: "The concept of a business school where young people could benefit from advice and guidance from successful industry leaders developed from our belief in the importance of training and equipping future generations who will contribute significantly to future economic growth. What better way than to learn from esteemed captains of industry who have learned and fine-tuned successful skills and business strategies?"
